Woa, I thought it was a flatfile to flatfile mapper. When you throw XML into the mix, that's a whole different ballgame. There are quite a few flatfile-to-XML mappers on the market, not tied to any particular EDI platform. Most of them are tied in with an XML "platform", like Altova has MapForce, StylusStudio has one I believe, I'm not sure about Oxygen. SysOnyx, Inc. offers one called xmlLinguist at http://www.sysonyx,com/products/xmllinguist, that has the ability to translate a flatfile into XML and visa-versa. It's an affordable solution ($89 for the mapper, the runtime engine is free) but it does have some limitations. 1) It's a Windows product and thus will only run on Windows. 2) It only "translates" the document and does not "transform" the document, meaning the resulting XML document looks like the Text document except with XML elements for each Line and Field (though it will add a hierarchy to your structure, i.e. it will nest lines under other lines for a logical tree).
