The market for EDI products is so small that it is a risky business
proposition. Unless you can get your product adopted by a major hub, or
you can succeed in selling it on an OEM basis to one or more application
software houses, you are going to find yourself at the bottom of the
commercial food chain EDI enabling small businesses - which is a labour
intensive activity. The plus side of working at that end of the market
is that there isn't much competition, the negative side is that the
reason there isn't much competition is because it is not profitable :-(
