I'm surprised to see many of these posts. The last time I shared my displeasure concerning the drummond certification on this list everyone that responded collectively seemed to say, "You're delusional, Rick Drummond is a great guy - stop ragging on him." Well, here's another helping of my worthless opinion. :)
I feel like even though this is supposed to assist adoption & compatibility of this "new" technology - it actually stifles the technology with a costly, bureaucratic pile of overhead. I don't remember anything about developers having to certify that their email software could interoperate. Why doesn't Drummond go ahead and certify that our EDI translators can pass plain text files to each other? Maybe they can certify that everyone's butt will fit comfortably on all toilets... The survey requires you to list it. Who's to say that listing something that you don't have/use is a problem? Unless down the road if there are problems between you and the tp and it is traced somehow back to your non-certified software I wonder if the originator (or whomever wanted the certification) would then have legal/monetary recourse.
