Yes, the AK2 - AK5 segments should be repeated once for every ST-SE loop that is being acknowledged.

If the AK2 segment appears in the 997, does it required to repeat for all the documents in the interchange. For Example: We sent out 55 invoice document in an interchange. We received acknowledgement for that interchange. I have pasted the extract of the 997 document below. ST*997*000000517 AK1*IN*2515 AK2*810*25150048 AK3*IT1*19*6000 AK4*10*235*2*401010 AK5*E*5 AK9*E*55*55*55 SE*8*000000517 In this case AK2 segment did not repeat 55 times. I would like to know, is this valid?. In this case, only one invoice got acknowledged. All other 54 Invoice documents are in pending state. The product which we use expects AK2 segment repeat 55 times. If there is no AK2 segments at all then it uses AK9 segment and would acknowledge all the documents. Thanks in advance!
