Apologize for not stating my question clearly.

We sent out 55 Invoices( 55 ST's) in one interchange. In that 54 invoice
documents are valid and one invoice had issue in IT1 segment.

The received 997 didn't get processed correctly in our EDI system. The
customer team had to manually acknowledge the 54 documents. I was not sure
whether it is well formed 997 or it is the EDI product bug/issue. Hence I
posted the question.

Thanks again for your valuable suggestion and time on this!

  Regards,
  Arun

Yes, it is valid. The standard does not require that the AK2/AK5 loop
be
present for every transaction set in a functional group. In the case of
your example it appears that the sender only creates AK2/AK5 for the
transaction set(s) with errors and omits them for those that don't have
errors.

(my personal opinion only and not the position of ASC X12)
