Dino, It's good to hear from you. I was just saying below how it takes friends in the business to really get all the EDI knowledge you need. I hope you have been doing well, we just got beat up pretty bad a by hurricane Ike. A bunch of the people we used to work with at Di lost their homes, it was real sad. Xuan and I made it through just fine I did have to put my EDI consulting on the self for a week while I became a tree branch remover. Anyway let me know how you have been doing. I haven't heard back from Char as of yet. I have a few easy processes flows myself, I know your power point would work well. I was hoping Char would get back to me and let me know a little more specifics about her particular EDI process. Either way though it was good to hear from you, get back to me sometime when you have a chance.

It's about 50 slides long. I still have it. I have read the other responses, and beyond the great search for information and the jokes others are giving. The truth is it is an ongoing processes for every day you spend with EDI there is something new you need to know. The best way is to look at the current job in front of you and solve that situation. Every project you work on you will cover new ground in some way shape or data format. I started with a glossary of EDI terms and a couple friends to help me solve the EDI situations as they arise, three years later I am very proficient in EDI plus the logistics world in whole. Today I help others with there EDI situations and I still learn something new everyday. Saying that I would be more than happy to help you out with your Director of Sales and getting him to feel comfortable with some EDI language. Please get back to me when you get chance and we can discuss more in detail exactly what you need him to understand. Basically EDI for Dummies without going into detail about specific EDI softwares. Yes I know what it is and I have tried to explain it to our Director of Sales but it is as if we are speaking two different languages and I fear he will never understand. I speak "geek" and he speaks "would sell my momma for a penny" and I have been unable to find a translator to bridge the gap between our two languages. I have a little mpeg of the little guy beating his head on his keyboard until it bleeds, but that's not graphic enough info for him and he demands more. I have tried going into more detail but he does not understand FTP, SMTP, sFTP, SSH, AS2 or anything else. So if anyone out there has simple enough PPT for a "trained monkey" (my analogy of a sales rep) to understand please forward you would be saving my overworked self a lot of grief. Yes I checked the files section first to no avail.
