If your audience is management of any sort the things they find fun
and exciting are saving money. I did this a few months ago and
detailed all the tedious things they DON'T have to do because they
have EDI. When we came down to the nuts and bolts it was clear that
a sales person could not pick up the phone and say hello for 55 cents
(my all-in cost per transaction). Now, the trick is to show
management how it saves them money (labor) without the labor in the
room catching on that it is their jobs that can get eliminated. " Work
smarter, not harder" and "computers handle business transactions not
business relationships" and all that.
