Thanks Art -

Our Sales Department has been involved with this from the start. Yes, it
is a cost of doing business but Sales did say they would recoup the money
one way or another.

While I agree in principle, sometimes there is a cost of doing business.
$850 is not much for the potential profit of much more. Can you transfer
the cost to your sales department? They should absorb the cost, and that
way they can be the judge of whether or not it is worth it.

Subject: [EDI-L] Re:Thoughts on OB10

We are in the middle of an OB10 implementation right now. It's crap as
far as I'm concerned, being forced into this. My supervisor has built a
flat-file that we will ftp to them because we don't have an 810. According

to the OB10 documentation, "OB10 will accept any structured data invoice
file.....send electronic invoices from your existing billing systems
without purchasing any software, hardware of implementing costly
programming". And also, this particular Customer "reserves the right to
apply a $5.00 processing fee to all paper invoices received after October
31, 2008".
Well, it's now nearing the end of January and we're still sending paper
invoices. OB10 cannot get our flat-file mapped and have come back to us
asking for changes. What happened to their statement of "All suppliers
can easily participate without changing their existing invoicing formats"?

$850/year fee to participate. It wasn't our idea to participate in the
first place.
