I have a question about ASN Carton generation in multi-user environments. The Carton number ( aka UCC-128 ) is a 20 digit number with the UPC prefix plus 9 digit carton number.
Do you use a single range for all cartons, or have different ranges for each trading partner? If I use a single range, then if 2 users generate cartons at the same time, the carton numbers become intermingled. If I lock the process, and only allow one user to generate cartons, then the other users complain ;-) I'm just curious how others have dealt with this (potential) problem...
