Which reminds me... I've seen this before.

In previous  standards (3x) , there was a "floating" (may appear anywhere)  NTE 
segment supported in the 850 . I recall some partner 
of some client who wanted to "upgrade" to 004010 and thought that he could just 
replace NTE with MSG.   Oops, no you can't!
