If you've analyzed the data in a way you feel is effective, then what does it matter how long the results section is or how many methods you use? If it's done right (or more properly, defensibly) and you've answered your research question, you're done. I know the feeling. I see some grant proposals with analysis sections that go on and on and on about methods. When it comes time to write my own, I invariably end up writing "Student's t test for independent samples".
