You seem to be having some pretty horrible luck. I've only done 2 installs one 
on a modern system with Sata drives, dual core intel, etc .... No problems. The 
other an ancient AMD K62+-550mhz with slew of cast of parts. That one would not 
read the CD and I had to download the magic floppy mentioned in the maillist. 
That got it going no problem. I would at least try that method first just to 
see if there is something funny with the CD that can be over come.

Otherwise I'm not sure what to say, if the PC could boot Whitebox [a RHEL 
clone] it should boot Endian which has a RHEL kernel [or something close to 
one].
