I think the big difference from a driver/kernel point is IPCop is a 2.4 kernel 
Endian is 2.6 kernel. It is very common for companies like HP and Dell to not 
keep older drivers up to date in new kernel releases. I'm thinking of PERC 
drivers specifically from Dell but I know others do the same.

Hey if you are happy with IPCop enjoy. If you can't get Endian installed on the 
hardware you have to use then that's pretty much end of story. :)
