Hi

I have upgraded in place using this script:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
rpm -Uvh audit-libs-1.0.14-1.EL4.endian0.i386.rpm --force --nodeps
rpm -Uvh *.rpm --force --nodeps
cd /boot
rm System.map
rm vmlinuz
ln -s vmlinuz-2.6.9-42.0.3.EL.endian16 vmlinuz
ln -s System.map-2.6.9-42.0.3.EL.endian16 System.map
cp /boot/grub/grub.conf.rpmsave /boot/grub/grub.conf
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Note!!!

First you have to extract the new iso and copy all rpms
to a location on the efw.
Then you have to chdir to this location and start the script.

hello!

thanx a lot for bringing out 2.1.

the news and bugfixes sound very good.

my question:

do i need to setup the box after update/newinstall from the beginning or can
the backupped settings be used to bring the box up very fast?

thanx a lot.
