It looks like there could be a short list of orphans also from doing this. I'm working my way through the ISO RPMS + the DEVEL-RPMS tarball compared to what exists on my dev box. First thing I notice is the developers RPM tarball is mostly the packages you'd need to set up a development box. In 2.0 is was basically all the packages in 2.1 it is not. The biggest 2 that jump out are bash and rpm, both are in the devel tarball but are not on the ISO. Here is the list of things that are on my development back but do not exist on either the 2.1 ISO or 2.1 RPM.tar.gz 3cp4218-0.20031022-3.endian2_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm binutils-2.15.92.0.2-18.endian0.i386.rpm cabextract-1.1-3.endian0.i386.rpm clamav-devel-0.88.5-0.endian5.i386.rpm cnxADSL-6.1.2.007_PIM_2.6_1.4-5.endian2_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm createrepo-0.4.2-0.endian0.i386.rpm cronscripts-1.1.16-0.endian0.i386.rpm curl-devel-7.12.1-8.rhel4.endian1.i386.rpm eagle-usb-2.3.2-4.endian5_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm eciadsl-0.10-2.endian0.i386.rpm efw-antivirus-1.1.8-1.endian0.i386.rpm efw-iptfilters-0.2-1.i386.rpm expat-devel-1.95.7-5.endian0.i386.rpm gmp-devel-4.1.4-4.endian1.i386.rpm gpg-pubkey-9cc2461f-4250553b.i386.rpm grep-2.5.1a-1.endian4.i386.rpm kernel-module-3cp4218-0.20031022-3.endian2_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm kernel-module-cnxADSL-6.1.2.007_PIM_2.6_1.4-5.endian2_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm kernel-module-eagle-usb-2.3.2-4.endian5_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm kernel-module-pulsar-4.0.21pre2-2.endian2_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm kernel-module-unicorn-0.9.0-2.endian2_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm libidn-devel-0.5.6-2.endian0.i386.rpm linesrv-2.1.21-0.endian9.i386.rpm misdn-devel-0.20060601-1.endian3.2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm neon-devel-0.24.7-6.endian0.i386.rpm openssl-devel-0.9.7a-43.4.endian0.i386.rpm pcre-devel-4.5-3.1.1.fc3.endian0.i386.rpm perl-extras-5.8.5-34.RHEL4.endian1.i386.rpm pulsar-4.0.21pre2-2.endian2_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm rpm-devel-4.4.1-21.endian5.i386.rpm sqlite-devel-3.1.2-3.i386.rpm unicorn-0.9.0-2.endian2_2.6.9_34.0.1.EL.endian14.i386.rpm zlib-devel-1.2.3-0.endian0.i386.rpm It could mean that these are no longer required or that they are missing ;)... [I suspect that zlib-devel, openssl-devel, curl-devel and some of the others are requirements to rebuild certain packages like ClamAV.] -Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys.
