Are there other "high usage" processes ?
E.g.  havp, clamd?
Do you use the keyword feature in dansgaurdian?
You shouldn't use it on a heavy used proxy.

Please post the output of this console command:

cat /proc/meminfo

Please have a look to the memory and cpu system diagrams.
Are there heavy changes in the swap diagram ?
Was the usage low if no user was using the proxy (in last 24 h)?

How much users are using the proxy?
