Thank you compdoc. I did the update as described and got this output at the end
Preparing... ########################################### [100%] 1:perl-Mail-Clamav ########################################### [ 20%] 2:clamav warning: /etc/clamav/clamd.conf created as /etc/clamav/clamd.conf.rpmnew warning: /etc/clamav/freshclam.conf created as /etc/clamav/freshclam.conf.rpmnew ########################################### [ 40%] 3:clamav-db warning: /usr/share/clamav/daily.cvd created as /usr/share/clamav/daily.cvd.rpmnew ########################################### [ 60%] warning: /usr/share/clamav/main.cvd created as /usr/share/clamav/main.cvd.rpmnew 4:havp ########################################### [ 80%] 5:perl-Mail-Clamav-extras########################################### [100%] Now my question: changing the clamd & freshclam configuration files: how to start the editor and how to rename/activate the new configuration files that they will be used. I haven't rebooted yet as it is not finished yet. Another point: I am assuming the daily.cvd.rpmnew and main.cvd.rpmnew will be renamed to dily.cvd and main.cvd as sson as the reboot and initial start of clamav 0.94 is done. Is that correct ? The version which is on is clamav 90.1 from the first install of efw 2.1.2 Johannes compdoc wrote: > > I think the answer is here: > > http://bugs.endian.it/view.php?id=943 > > Claurita says to use the --nodeps option because its > referring to a previous version of libclamav, although I > don't know which version is installed... > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: turbo-2 [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Thursday, October 02, 2008 5:51 PM > To: efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net > Subject: Re: [Efw-user] efw 2.1.2 > > > Thank you Mike for making this available. > > I am trying to update clamav to 0.94 on my efw 2.1.2 box > with Putty over SSH > > rpm -Uvh \ > http://www.stellarcore.net/downloads/efw2-updates/clamav-0.9 > 4-0.endian5.i386.rpm > \ > http://www.stellarcore.net/downloads/efw2-updates/clamav-db- > 0.94-0.endian5.i386.rpm > \ > http://www.stellarcore.net/downloads/efw2-updates/havp-0.89- > 1.endian8.i386.rpm > \ > http://www.stellarcore.net/downloads/efw2-updates/perl-Mail- > Clamav-extras-0.20-1.endian0.i386.rpm > > but get I get this error : Failed dependencies: > libclamav.so.2 is needed > by (installed) perl-Mail-Clamav-0.20-0.endian0. > > How can I solve this in an easy to understand way for a > Linux newbie ? > > Johannes > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's > challenge > Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great > prizes > Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the > world > http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ > _______________________________________________ > Efw-user mailing list > Efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user > > -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/efw-2.1.2-tp18014275p19797975.html Sent from the efw-user mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Efw-user mailing list Efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user
