That's what I was thinking... TCP/IP networking is really pretty simple once you know how. But it can be a disaster if you do the wrong thing.
It is possible to have users open files and print to shared printers on the remote sites. And it's not necessary to log into the domain to do it. Just create accounts for the users. Domains apply security policies to users that log into them, and often apply roaming profiles to users for backup purposes. This is not something you want happening over a vpn. Openvpn creates a tunnel that's equal in speed to a 10baseT network. That's what those coax cable networks used. And Windows Server ipsec vpns are no faster - I've benchmarked them. I really have to say, you would be better off hiring someone to do this for you. A local tech that can make an onsite visit. I've seen people lose their jobs over this kind of thing... -----Original Message----- From: Sam Osborne [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, October 26, 2008 4:07 PM To: efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Efw-user] OpenVPN two Endian Firewalls can't get working No I'm not.
