Ok thanks for the feedback. I don't think we would be able to afford to have someone set it up. After all, if we had the money we would probably use Astaro rather than Endian Community Edition.
We need the domain security policies applied on the boarding computers, and they don't have roaming profiles they all have a mandatory profile with their documents folder redirected to a network share. So when they open or save a file it will be slow to read/write over the VPN but I don't see any other way to accomplish this. They have to have access to their files at the boarding college. Currently they RDP into the server at school. Thing is though, we will have unlimited ADSL Internet connections at both sites, and boarders will only be at the boarding college after school hours, so if the Internet is slow during these times due to what you've described, it's only the borders that suffer, but it's better than the current setup I believe. I don't see how I would lose my job as I don't see it affecting the current LAN, and I've been in worse situations (Internet down for a month). If you or anyone has any other ideas for me to try and get at least the Internet traffic sent from the boarding site through the EFW proxy on the existing school site it would be appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Efw-user mailing list Efw-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/efw-user
