I don't want to boot my desktop up to double check [but I will  
tomorrow morning], but is libusb installed? Under Endian 2.0 I see a  
lot of usb related packages [do a rpm -q -a | grep -i usb ] libusb  
seems the most important [usbuitls might also be].
