Hi all, unfortunately there were no comments about my mail, beside the one from Miles to not forget about the missing xmlrpc of addressbook.
I phoned with Lars yesterday and we agreed to exceptionally include the mentioned commits, plus some patches I have received and postponed during my holiday. I agreed to test and quickly fix bugs arising from these commits - thought I dont expect much, as the commits are in trunk for some time and used on my companies installation. On the contrary some of the commits fixes and improves the column-selection feature in some apps. I know it's not optimal, but the only other alternative for me would be to maintain an other release branch, which would be a real waste of our limited resources. Again sorry, I will try to make sure that kind of problem does not happen again ... I still think we should remove the 1.4 branch completely. Of cause with a feature freeze in trunk. The existence of a release branch usually encourager more the start of new developments then the fixing of the existing bugs. Almost all other projects create release branches after the first or second RC and not earlier. Anyway we never had a release branch, without already changing the version-numbers. The point with the branch is not that important to me, I only think it would speed up the release ...
