I'm currently looking at Theory Center (www.theorycenter.com). They have what is a combination of a framework of EJB base classes and a plug-in for Rose that, provided you follow their patterns, will let you model at a slightly higher level (i.e. not have to model the Home and Remote interfaces and such separately) than you might be thinking. Their plug-in takes the model and generates the needed Java files. (There are a few steps involved in getting from model to code, but essentially that's all there is to it.) Currently it seems to only be designed to work with BEA Weblogic. (BEA recently acquired Theory Center.)

I've found it to be pretty quirky about some things, and it doesn't necessarily round-trip in the way I generally think of round-trip. On the other hand, it does take a lot of the tedium out of working in EJB. I suggest you check it out.

I do not work for, nor know (aside from tech support conversations) anyone who works for either BEA or TheoryCenter. I take no responsibility for the quality of any BEA product.
