Did anybody get any where with the examples in Valesky's book?
I have JDK 1.2.2 installed and the weblogic stuff that came on the CD that
came with the book and I'm seeing that the install for the weblogic says
that you have to use jdk 1.1.6 ...
The problem I'm having is that when I run ejbc.bat on one of the examples
it complains that there's no com/sun/java/util/collections/Map
I'm using
java -classpath %WEBLOGIC_HOME%\classes;%JAVA_HOME%\jre\lib\rt.jar
weblogic.ejbc book\chap03\hello\hello.jar
but in the rt.jar that ships with jdk1.2.2 Map is under util not
util/collections
I'm guessing I missed something about how collections differs b/w 1.1.6
and 1.2.2
If I choose to use the recommended jdk 1.1.6 where do I get the ejb stuff
from? I thought it was only available in j2ee?
The ejbc.class that ships with weblogic has
import com.sun.java.util.collections.Map;
I think this is from the days when collections was not in the core.
