You should check out Inprise Application Server 4.0. It is built using
VisiBroker 4.0, and provides ejb 1.1 level complicance.

For this requirement you should definately check out Inprise AppCenter 4.0.
It takes a unique approach to managing Distributed Applications, allowing
you to model dependencies, groups and fault-tolerance between components.
These components could be simple processes, EJB's, EJB services (JTS/JNDI
etc), CORBA servers, CORBA Objects or an open API to add whatever you like.
All of these services can be started/stopped/"fail-overed", and statistics
can be gathered for these. In 4.0, there is also a new Dynamic Load
Balancing service.
AppCenter sits above EJB, and CORBA, and DCE etc and doesnt just manage an
application server, it allows you to manage YOUR application, and you can
model how it really is.
AppCenter also provides the facility for you to create your own SNMP
mappings, so that you can integrate with HP OpenView etc etc.

Just doing some do-diligence. Are there other appserver products
in the same league as Web Logic Enterprise that offer honest
capability for:
- Very large scale system. Many boxes in a cluster. Groupings of
clusters.
- HA corba services, HA EJB services across clusters.
- Tight integration of Corba services <--> EJB services
- Common management view for the universe. Manage HA, clustered services,
move, stop, start services. Good SNMP mappings to application events?
- Proven low latency operations at high loads
... So far this is what we need, so far this is what WLE 5 can do. ??
FYI, WLS 5.x is weak in corba <--> EJB interoperability, corba services HA
and common management view of a group of clusters.... ;(
