If the logs are empty, thats a sign that you maybe don't have the
access-rights set :

Try this:

If you run as root open

[iasroot]/properties/[servername]/server.properties

and change the lines

Server.user=nobody
Server.group= nobody

to

Server.user=root
Server.group=root


If this doesnt work, run the server with the -verbose flag to see whats
happening there.
