Incorrect (you guys assume too much ;-). For example, I can put this
into the contents of the jndi.properties file on the client:
java.naming.factory.initial=somefactory
java.naming.provider.url=xyz://somehost

When the client does new InitialContext() it will be connecting to
somehost through the somefactory JNDI provider. By using this form you
can make clients (or parts of the client) far more reusable as it is
easier to separate setup information this way (impossible to hardcode
anything when all you're doing is "new InitialContext()").
I would really recommend that you read the JNDI specification (or the
relevant parts of it), because it describes this in detail.
