Hi!

I copy the jonas list on this... sorry if some have cross-posts

I just want to make a clarification on this effort.

1- In no way am I taking JOnAS entity code!!!!!!!
The reason is that ,<cough>itsux</cough>, we have a superior design
already in the entity infrastructure of the container, courtesy of
Rickard/RMH/Vadim/Me.

2- I am reusing their TX code!
The reason is simple, they are very good with Tx (hey they DID do
something right ;-), Gerard Vendome and his crew know that part in and
out...
The other thing I might include is the JDBC pool although I hear it is
not really up to par yet, but maybe we can help.
BTW I know how to speeeeeeed up the tx mon from JOnAS ;-)

Oh yeah... there I agree... almost there, (actually done with the Tx Mon
integration... not too many bullets to sweat just a lot of ground to
cover to get it) I have a "home-grown" version that says at boot time
"[init] started Transaction Monitor" and that deals with
Container-managed Txs :=)))))))

Our intra-VM container optimization is going to propulse that engine
through the roof!! (it's a bit slow now but it works)

sure, I will commit pretty soon actually, brace yourself tho'

get on the ejboss-cvs <a

Yeah the Tx Mon really brings it together... final piece of the puzzle.

Ray, I realize I had not communicated clearly on what I was chasing the
past 2 weeks, and in no way do I blame you for saying that "we take
JOnAS entity stuff". I just jumped on the occasion to set the record
straight.
JOnAS did a terrific job on the transaction monitor and
<cough>wecanmakeitbetter</cough> it would be silly to reinvent the wheel
there.
