Thanks for the explanation. > "Can you please give the pre-compiled binaries from our ELDK 4.2 and 4.1 a > go?" > > Could you point me in the direction to find these? I didn't see them on the > website or in the ppc-2008-04-01_amcc.iso that I have What you got is the ELDK 4.2 release, from here: ftp://ftp.denx.de/pub/eldk/4.2/ppc-linux-x86/iso/ The ELDK 4.1 release can be found here: ftp://ftp.denx.de/pub/eldk/4.1/ppc-linux-x86/iso/ Alternatively, you can just download and test the GDB form that relase, i. e. like that: -> cd /tmp -> wget ftp://ftp.denx.de/pub/eldk/4.1/ppc-linux-x86/distribution/RPMS/gdb-ppc-6.3.0.0-1.21_3.i386.rpm -> rpm2cpio gdb-ppc-6.3.0.0-1.21_3.i386.rpm | cpio -idum ./usr/bin/ppc-linux-gdb Then try and run /tmp/usr/bin/ppc-linux-gdb (after making sure thet CROSS_COMPILE is set correctly). I bet ths works fine...
