I have uploaded a more recent GDB package to our FTP server. You can find it here: ftp://ftp.denx.de/pub/eldk/4.2/ppc-linux-x86/updates/RPMS/gdb-ppc-6.7-4.i386.rpm You can install this as an update RPM into your existing ELDK 4.2 installation: -> unset CROSS_COMPILE -> sudo /opt/eldk/bin/rpm -Uvh /tmp/gdb-ppc-6.7-4.i386.rpm Here is what I see using this one: $ ppc_4xx-gdb u-boot GNU gdb Red Hat Linux (6.7-4rh) Copyright (C) 2007 Free Software Foundation, Inc. License GPLv3+: GNU GPL version 3 or later <http://gnu.org/licenses/gpl.html> This is free software: you are free to change and redistribute it. There is NO WARRANTY, to the extent permitted by law. Type "show copying" and "show warranty" for details. This GDB was configured as "--host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --target=ppc-linux". The target architecture is set automatically (currently powerpc:403) .. (gdb) show arch The target architecture is set automatically (currently powerpc:common) (gdb) set arch currently powerpc:403 Undefined item: "currently powerpc:403". (gdb) set arch powerpc:403 The target architecture is assumed to be powerpc:403 (gdb) show arch The target architecture is assumed to be powerpc:403 (gdb) q Hope this helps.
