Knut, I like to keep all my versions separate also.
Later versions of the utility will create a directory for you. In the "Local folder for Firmware" box, just type it in, or browse to your location, then add the \dirname. After the first time, all you have to change is the dirname. You still have to check the "Copy new files" checkbox, and hit the "Check version now" button, to do the download, THEN hit the "Send checked items to K3" button to do the actual load You are just as much in charge this way, it just hides the somewhat convoluted nav on the Elecraft web site. 73, Mike NF4L.
