In my experience (at least 30 years), UPS has always had great drivers who get to know their customers. In two businesses where I worked, the drivers walked in the delivery door (usually unattended by those businesses), dropped off packages and picked up what we had. In the rental that I had for 20 years in a Chicago residential neighborhood, in the Chicago home I owned for 20 years, and now here in CA in the woods, I've gotten to know my drivers within a few months. We've developed a relationship, they know what to do with anything they have for me, and I know how to hail them to give them a package for shipment. My wife and I get an average of two UPS deliveries a week, without any problems. Bottom line --get to know your UPS person and everything will go smoothly. BTW -- if you want lousy service and careless deliveries without a signative, try DHL. In my busy Chicago neighborhood, they repeatedly threw valuable packages across my fence, only a few feet from the sidewalk, where anyone could have picked them up. I never used them, but some el cheapo computer vendors who I bought stuff from did. 73, Jim K9YC ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
