I went through the CONFIG menus to see what might have changed while in SSB. I found DUAL PB had APF on. I was unable to turn it off while in SSB, so went back to CW mode turned the APF off (nor) and returned to SSB and all was normal. Full output.
I have confirmed you can only turn APF on/off while in CW mode. It would then seem that APF should be turned off automatically when in any mode other than CW.
