Thank you to the Lister who started the thread about "why I bought a K3". And equal thanks to Alexy for his recent posting on "why I won't buy a K3".
Both of those threads helped me make up my mind once and for all. The order was placed, the enter button was hit, the REF # came back, and now I just have to wait for the postman to ring. My XYL wanted me to wait until I repainted the downstairs, hung a new ceiling fan, and fixed the running toilet in the guest bathroom. In a masterful demonstration of tactical negotiation, I took her out this morning and bought her the Chihuahua she's been wanting. Yes, that's how much I wanted a K3! I'm a 100% HF CW QRP OP. I look forward to sitting down in front of "the best" CW rig in the world. And if I change my mind, the K3 was designed to provide me with the ability to expand my operating dimensions. As far as "building" a K3, I'll be happy to screw boards together and mount knobs if it means that I'll end up with a premier radio. 73, Stan Levandowski WB2LQF QRP CW: Skill, not power!
