I have built 2 K3s. I have had to take more pieces apart on some complex radios to fix them than there is in a K3 kit!!

There was a lot of disagreement about whether a "kit" was "homebrewing" - E.F. Johnson, Heath, WRL and others were cranking out new kits almost monthly. There was even sentiment in some corners that it should be *illegal* for any company to sell kits, much less finished rigs to the Ham market. Some things never change, Hi!
