Hello Don, The KDVR3 will give faithful reproduction if you will clear your TXEQ of all settings and set them to zero. Your TXEQ is in the circuit when you rebroadcast the off-the-air recording. This means the rebroadcast signal is being shaped by whatever TXEQ settings you are using causing the signal to sound bad. Hope this helps.
