While operating RTTY, in order to prevent amplitude variations caused by static crashes, I like to turn off the AGC. It always worked with my Icom 746 and I didn't care if the audio was distorted. It provided an amplitude limited FM signal to my Hal DXP-38.
When I turn off the AGC on the K3, with the RF gain set to max position. The signal disappears on the line out port. Using an X/Y oscilloscope, there appears to be noise but no signal. I can hear the very loud RTTY signal on speaker audio and it never cuts out. When I reduce the RF gain, the signal appears or sometimes during fading, the RTTY signal reappears on the X/Y scope. I’m using Firmware Rev. 4.36, and DSP 2.73 ----- Jack WA9FVP Willco Electronics -- View this message in context: http://elecraft.365791.n2.nabble.com/No-line-out-when-AGC-is-off-tp6566530p6566530.html Sent from the Elecraft mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
