I have a K1 with a 40/20 filter board. The receiver is much louder on 40. The signals just jump out with plenty of audio. On 20 the signals are not as strong. Every once in while I will hear a strong signal on 20. I suspect that 20 is just not as loud. I have made contacts on 20 to include England. When I do a A/B receiver test with my Yaesu FT-450D, it seems like they are in line. Should I assume this is related to the bands being different.
Still saving for my K2.. carrot estended slightly with the 40 dollar increase..
