During K1 alignment, all of the adjustments made on the RF board to peak the receiver are repeated when transmitter alignment is subsequently performed. The transmitter adjustments are far more critical than the same adjustments made for the receiver. If you test the maximum power output of your K1 and it is in the 5 to 7 watt range on both bands, you can be pretty certain that your alignment is fine and it is just band or local conditions responsible for the difference. OTOH, you can have perfectly wonderful receiver sensitivity yet poor transmitter output, due to the wide adjustment tolerance of the receiver compared to the very narrow adjustment tolerance of the transmitter. So...check the maximum output power levels on each band to rest your concerns.
