Joel, I don't know the SignaLink line designations, but from common designations, I believe you have the Line In and Line Out connections to the K3 reversed.
SPKR would be the output from the SignaLink, and should go to the K3 LINE IN MIC would be an input to the SignaLink and would connect to the K3 LINE OUT. I do recall that the SignaLink has an internal jumper to change from MIC level to LINE level. If you are using the K3 LINE IN, that jumper must be set for Line level. he Mic level is about 100 times less than Line level. 73, Don W3FPR On 11/18/2011 6:44 PM, Joel Black wrote: > If anyone is using the SignaLink USB, can someone tell me the wiring to > the K3? > > I think I have rolled Line In and Line Out. > > Here's what I have: > > From the SignaLink RJ-45: > > Pin 1 -> SPKR goes to LINE IN (mono) on the K3 > Pin 2 -> GND > Pin 3 -> MIC goes to LINE OUT (stereo connection with tip and gnd only) > on the K3 > Pin 4 -> GND > Pin 5 -> PTT goes to PTT IN on the K3 > Pin 6 -> GND > > Please don't get into the argument about how I can just use the LINE > IN/LINE OUT and connect to my computer's soundcard.
