Jason,

The K2 specification for drift is less than 100 Hz from a cold start at 
25 degC.  50 Hz is well within that specification.

I would suggest you do the dial calibration procedure after the K2 has 
warmed up.
I highly recommend the procedure on my website www.w3fpr.com - article 
on K2 Dial Calibration.
I would suggest a 15 minute warm-up period is about right.
