I have received enough replies to report the trend. With one exception no problems were reported. The list of brands was most of the mid to major names such as Dell, LG, HP, Acer, ViewSonic, Planar, ASUS.
The exceptions were Samsung. Not all Samsung monitors were reported as problematic. Many were OK. An older one had display problems when the user was on 80. This may or may not have been the result of RF in the shack. No way to tell. It seems the one to avoid is Samsung models with soft of virtual buttons. These could be activated during transmission. Units with real buttons seemed to be OK. There are some mystery brands out there that were not mentioned so no conclusion for them can be drawn. Bottom line: It appears that if you stick with recognized brands and avoid trick things like soft buttons you should be OK. However there are no guarantees. Thanks to all, David K0LUM ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
