I suppose they have some scheme for measuring what goes in and what comes out, but they don't say. However, as I mentioned in a previous post, the MFJ 994 tuner they tested (August 2006) had somewhat lower losses than the other similar tuners in the review. I could not find any published data to support the assertion that MFJ tuners have high losses.
