Hi, I would suggest checking your monitors settings to make sure it is not in a "full" compatibility mode (the names seem to change. It might be different for your monitor). That is, the monitor can expand a 4x3 image to fit the 16x9 HD image vertically and thus chop off parts of the image on the sides and eliminate the "black bar" problem.
