John, Start with the TX audio equalizer set flat. That is all 8 bands set to zero. The HC5 already has the necessary equalization built in. If you want to use a full range element like the iC or the HC 6, try the following: 1 -16 2 -16 3 -12 4 -2 5 -2 6 +2 7 +4 8 +6
The Heil website has a paper on K3 audio. 73 de W6BK On Mar 28, 2012, at 6:31 AM, WB9JPH wrote: > Looking for any hints on tweaking the audio settings for the K3 with the Heil > HC 5 mike element. > > Rather than just grabbing numbers out of the air, I'd like to start with > settings that have worked for you and go from there. > > 73 > John > > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[email protected] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
