I am about to jump into the world of transverters with the purchase of an XV144 to pair with my K2. The K2 is a very early S/N but has had 'most' of the updates. I would like to make the use of the transverter as painless as possible. So I checked out the 60m mod page on the Elecraft reflector. There seems to be much going on that doesn't really concern my primary interest (getting on 2m cw/ssb for mountaintopping/SOTA trips). Not that 60m coverage wouldn't be a good thing. So I ask, is the KV60 (?) the best way to go? There apprered a cascade of 'other' mods if I wanted to actually use 60m, etc. Some advice by someone who has been there, please!!
Oh, I am currently using one of the transverter in/out port holes in the upper panel for a jack to charge the internal LiFePO4 battery pack installed a month ago. I could relocate the jack, but would really rather not. I do have the KIO2 installed.
