Hi all. I wrote the list earlier stating that I had proper power up displayed at the first power up test, right info message, elecraft and 7100.00 displayed. No front panel functions at all.
Now worse. After several tests, power ups and double checks, no relays, no front panel display, nothing. Like the unit is not getting power, but it is. All resistance checks pass and all proper voltages are there from a once or twice over standpoint. All socketed chips have the right VCC, all chips are socketed correctly, no solder shorts or unsoldered components, no diodes in backwards, 8V and 5V are present on the control board. All 5V points necessary are on the front panel. Even with the front panel unplugged and the control board out, no relay clicking. 6V is on the pins on the IOC where they should be. I am thinking at this point either the firmware or the MUCH died. Unit powered up and displayed the right messages more than 20 times. Just no front panel control at all. Now it won't even clack the relays or display anything. As I have stated, I have spent most of the day looking at this and cannot find any component or build mistakes, nor missing voltages where they should be. I guess I will be emailing Elecraft for a new MCU and firmware. Your thoughts?
