The back cover of the latest QST shows a photo of the new Kenwood TS-990. Last night I kept looking at that picture wondering if I would ever use more then a half-dozen knobs or buttons. Even with the K3 I use very little. Indeed, the VFO and the filter width plus maybe AF and RF gain are the primary controls for my preferred CW mode (about 90 percent of contacts).
I guess I should use more K3 buttons but I also use my KX1 a lot and those are the same buttons and controls I use on the K3.
