Re: "If LP-Bridge had a checkbox to permit the K3 Utility, it could also be used simultaneously with other programs, allowing the Terminal function.
I spent a couple of days of testing and removed the use of the AI command wherever I could in the K3 Utility a couple of years ago (June of 2010 as I recall, but I may be off a bit), informed N8LP, and he chose to make no LP-Bridge changes to allow the K3 Utility to be connected. Easy enough as you say, but my time was wasted, as LP-Bridge wasn't changed. RF gain calibration fails if spurious input arrives, so it's still turned off (and restored) in RF Gain calibration. That's the only place in the K3 Utility that AIn; is changed. The K3 Utility has nothing in it that detects LP-Bridge and disallows use of the K3 Utility. May I gently suggest that it is the LP-Bridge author that might need to offer the checkbox to allow the K3 Utility to use LP-Bridge instead of the other way around? About the only thing you'd want to use it for would be the terminal page. Dick, K6KR" Thankyou Dick, that was very informative. So it seems it is possible depending on LPBridge author etc. I did find some archive on your work togather from a year or two back. As you say the terminal function is what I want on collaboration with W4P3 etc, and I find it very good.
