Sooner or later running a K3 with back level firmware will be a problem. With so many devices coming out and the amount of work on those, you will simply be left behind. No company without the economies of scale like Microsoft can maintain old code.
Some people report getting perfect copy using 4.51. Can they please share the AGC settings, and decoder threshold, etc that they are using. Please include any NB, NR, bandwidth, RF gain, etc. settings you are using. Knowing the perverse nature of CPU coding for hardware, it's entirely possible that the 4.47 "good menu settings" depended on an AGC bug in 4.47. That would mean that it's impossible to restore the settings from 4.47 in a future 4.52. I seem to remember a period of thrashing about when CW decode first came out, until working popular settings emerged. 73, Guy.
