I would discourage one from arbitrarily doing an EEINIT" unless you have a stored K3 configuration file that you can load afterward.
EEINIT sets all menu items back to the default settings. It may be necessary, but do know that you will have a lot of calibration to do unless you have that configuration file with the settings from a known good working time for your K3 (goes for KX3 too). 73, Don W3FPR .
